Keita Motohashi

Keita Motohashi (Japanese: 本橋圭太) is a Japanese television and film director. Active primarily within the Japanese television network system, he has directed numerous drama series and television films for major networks such as TV Asahi, Fuji TV, and TV Tokyo.

Career

Motohashi began his directing career in television dramas during the early 2000s, with early credits including See you in Kowloon (2002) and Marusa: Taxing people (2003) for Fuji TV. Over the following decades, he established a prolific career directing serial dramas spanning multiple genres, including legal thrillers, medical dramas, and crime investigations.

Among his most notable television series are multiple iterations of the crime procedural franchise Emergency Interrogation Room (Kinkyu Torishirabe Shitsu) on TV Asahi, as well as the medical drama series DOCTORS: The Ultimate Surgeon. His extensive filmography also features directorial work on Unmet (2024), Great Gift (2024), Black Leather Notebook (2017), and the film Fuckin' Runaway (2007).
