Kazufumi Miyazawa

Kazufumi Miyazawa (born January 18, 1966) is a Japanese musician and actor. Born in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, he is widely recognized for his contributions to the Japanese music industry as a vocalist and songwriter.

Musical Career

Miyazawa is best known as the lead vocalist for the band The Boom. Throughout his career, he has also been involved in other musical projects, including the group Ganga Zumba. His work often incorporates elements of Okinawan folk music, which brought significant attention to the genre in Japan.

Acting Career

In addition to his musical endeavors, Miyazawa has appeared in various film and television productions. His film credits include the role of Toshimichi Ookubo in the 2014 films Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno and Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends. His television work includes roles in series such as Jin 2 (2011) and the Cold Case Japanese adaptation (2016, 2020-2021).

Kazufumi Miyazawa is the father of the actor Hio Miyazawa.
