How to Steal a Dog (Korean: 개를 훔치는 완벽한 방법; RR: Gaereul Hoomchineun Wanbyeokhan Bangbub) is a 2014 South Korean drama film directed by Kim Sung-ho. The film is an adaptation of the 2007 children's novel of the same name by American author Barbara O'Connor.

Plot
The story follows a young girl named Ji-So (played by Lee Re) whose family faces sudden homelessness after her father goes bankrupt. Desperate to improve her family's situation, Ji-So encounters a flyer offering a $500 reward for a missing dog. She devises a plan to "borrow" dogs from wealthy families, intending to return them once the reward money is offered, hoping the funds will help her family secure a place to live.
Production
The film was directed by Kim Sung-ho, with a screenplay co-written by Kim Sung-ho and Shin Youn-Shick. Principal photography for the film commenced on June 14, 2014, and concluded on September 6, 2014. The production was filmed on location on Jeju Island, South Korea.
