Hotel King (South Korean TV Series)
Hotel King is a South Korean television series that aired on MBC from April 5 to July 27, 2014. The drama, which consists of 32 episodes, was broadcast in the Saturday and Sunday 21:45 time slot. It follows the complex narrative of a general manager at a luxury establishment and the daughter of the hotel's late owner.
Plot
The story centers on Cha Jae-wan (played by Lee Dong-wook), a man who grew up in poverty and suffered abuse before rising to become the general manager of Hotel Ciel. Driven by a desire for revenge against his father, Ah Sung-won, who he believes abandoned him, Jae-wan finds his life complicated by the arrival of Ah Mo-ne (Lee Da-hae). Following the sudden death of her father, Ah Sung-won, the heiress Mo-ne must navigate the challenges of protecting her family's legacy while dealing with her own vulnerabilities and suspicions regarding her father's passing.

Production
The series was directed by Kim Dae-jin and Ashbun, with a screenplay written by Jo Eun-jung. The first script reading for the production took place in mid-February 2014 at the MBC Dream Centre in Ilsan, South Korea. The series replaced Golden Rainbow in its time slot and was succeeded by the drama Mama in August 2014.
