Hot Blooded (2022 Film)
Hot Blooded (Korean: 뜨거운 피; RR: Ddeugeowoon Pi) is a 2022 South Korean crime drama film directed by Cheon Myeong-Kwan. The film is based on the 2016 novel of the same name by author Kim Eon-Soo.
Plot
The story follows Hee-Soo, a mid-level gang member operating in the port city of Kooam. While managing a local hotel, Hee-Soo grows weary of his criminal lifestyle and aspires to leave the underworld to start a new life with his partner, In-Sook. However, his plans are complicated when he becomes entangled in a violent gang war.
Production
The film was adapted from Kim Eon-Soo's novel, which was published on August 25, 2016, by Munhak Dongne. Principal photography for the film commenced on March 28, 2019, and concluded on July 22, 2019. The film was released in South Korea on March 23, 2022, with a runtime of 120 minutes.

Reception
At the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards held in May 2022, actor Lee Hong-Nae received the award for Best New Actor for his performance in the film.
