Hometown (2021 South Korean Television Series)
Hometown is a South Korean mystery-thriller television series that aired on the cable network tvN in 2021. Directed by Park Hyun-suk and written by Joo Jin, the series consists of 12 episodes and was broadcast from September 22 to October 28, 2021, in the Wednesday and Thursday 22:30 time slot.

Plot
The story is set in 1999 and follows Choi Hyung-in (Yoo Jae-myung), a detective who has struggled with the guilt of his wife's death in a terrorist attack ten years prior. While investigating a murder case in a small town, he begins to suspect a connection to the terrorists responsible for his wife's death.
The narrative also centers on Jo Jung-hyun (Han Ye-ri), whose life was upended after her older brother was involved in a terrorist attack in 1989. She attempts to rebuild her life while caring for her niece, but faces further turmoil when the girl suddenly goes missing. The mystery is linked to Jo Kyung-ho (Um Tae-goo), a prisoner serving a life sentence for a sarin gas attack at a train station in his hometown in 1989.
