Holiday (Korean: 홀리데이; RR: Holli-dei) is a 2006 South Korean crime drama film directed by Yang Yun-Ho. The screenplay was written by Yang Yun-Ho and Kim Hee-Jae. The film was released in South Korea on January 19, 2006, with a runtime of 120 minutes.

Plot

The film is based on the real-life prison escape of Ji Kang-heon. The story follows Ji Kang-heon, who is imprisoned following his involvement in protests against the forced displacement of residents in his neighborhood to facilitate construction for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. After enduring systemic abuse by prison officials, Ji Kang-heon and 12 other inmates escape from custody. The group evades law enforcement for nine days. Throughout the escape, Ji Kang-heon seeks to expose the corruption within the South Korean legal system and the perceived favoritism shown toward the wealthy. The narrative culminates in a standoff with police, forcing Ji Kang-heon to face the consequences of his actions.
