Hikari Mitsushima
Hikari Mitsushima (born November 30, 1985) is a prominent Japanese actress and former pop singer. Born in Okinawa, Japan, she began her career in the entertainment industry as a child performer before transitioning into a critically acclaimed acting career.

Early Career and Music
Mitsushima entered the entertainment industry in 1997 at the age of 12 as a member of the pop group Folder. The group later evolved into the all-female ensemble Folder5, in which she performed for several years. During her early youth, she also made her film debut in the 1997 kaiju production Mothra 2: The Undersea Battle. Following the disbandment of Folder5, she briefly stepped away from the music industry to focus on her education before returning to television as a variety program assistant in 2003.
Acting Career
Mitsushima achieved significant critical recognition for her role in the 2009 film Love Exposure, directed by Sion Sono. Her portrayal of the character Yoko earned her multiple awards, including honors for best newcomer and best actress. Throughout the 2010s and 2020s, she maintained a prolific career in both film and television, appearing in projects such as Villain (2010), Quartet (2017), and the Netflix series First Love (2022).
Personal Life
Mitsushima was born in Okinawa. Her family includes her younger brother, Shinnosuke Mitsushima, who is also an actor. It has been noted that her grandmother was of French-American descent.
