Glass Garden (2017 Film)

Glass Garden (Korean: 유리정원; RR: Yoorijungwon) is a 2017 South Korean mystery-drama film written and directed by Shin Su-won. The film explores themes of idealism, isolation, and the intersection between scientific ambition and human morality.

Plot

The story follows Jae-yeon (played by Moon Geun-young), a doctoral researcher specializing in artificial blood. Struggling with the contradictions between her scientific ideals and the harsh realities of her professional environment, she retreats into isolation within a greenhouse. Her path crosses with Ji-hoon (Kim Tae-hoon), a novelist who has become embroiled in a plagiarism scandal. Seeking to revitalize his career, Ji-hoon becomes fascinated by Jae-yeon's life and chooses to use her experiences as the subject for his next novel.

Production

The film was directed and written by Shin Su-won, with cinematography by Yoon Ji-woon. Production took place in 2016, with principal photography beginning on May 27, 2016, and concluding on July 24, 2016. The film was distributed by Little Big Pictures.

Release
