Genkai Danchi
Genkai Danchi (Japanese: 限界団地), also known by its English title The Habitation, is a Japanese suspense drama series that aired in 2018. The series was broadcast on the Fuji TV and Tokai TV networks as part of their Saturday night programming block.
Plot
The story follows Seiji Terauchi, played by Shiro Sano, a man who moves into an aging apartment complex with his granddaughter. The complex, built in the 1970s, has seen better days and now suffers from a declining population. Having lost his son and daughter-in-law in a fire one year prior, Terauchi becomes fixated on restoring the apartment complex to its former glory. His extreme methods and obsessive behavior raise questions among the other residents about his true intentions, leaving them to wonder if he is a savior or a dangerous force.
