Flower Boys Next Door

Flower Boys Next Door (Korean: 이웃집 꽃미남; RR: Yiutjib Ggotminam) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network tvN from January 7 to February 26, 2013. The 16-episode romantic comedy series was directed by Jung Jung-hwa and written by Kim Eun-jung, based on the webcomic I Peek At Him Every Day (Naneun Maeil Geureul Humchyeobonda) by Yoo Hyun-sook.

Production

The series is the third installment in tvN's Flower Boy franchise, following Cool Guys, Hot Ramen (2011) and Shut Up Flower Boy Band (2012). While the series share a thematic focus on "flower boys," their storylines and characters are not connected. The first script reading for the production took place on November 21, 2012, at the CJ E&M center in the Sangam neighborhood of Seoul.

Plot

The story centers on Ko Dok-mi (Park Shin-hye), a woman who lives a reclusive life in an apartment complex called Ocean Village. Her routine involves secretly observing her neighbor, Han Tae-joon (Kim Jung-san), from her window. Her isolated existence is disrupted when a group of men, including video game designer Enrique Keum (Yoon Si-yoon) and webcomic writer Oh Jin-rok (Kim Ji-hoon), become involved in her life after discovering her habit of watching her neighbors.
