Dr. Frost (South Korean TV Series)

Dr. Frost is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network OCN from November 23, 2014, to February 1, 2015. The series consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast on Sundays at 23:00. It is based on the webcomic series of the same name by Lee Jong-Bum, which began serialization in 2011.

Premise

The story centers on Baek Nam-Bong, a brilliant psychology professor known as Dr. Frost. Due to a childhood injury to his frontal lobe, he lacks the ability to sympathize with others. By day, he serves as a counselor at a university counseling center, and by night, he works as a bartender. He is joined by his enthusiastic teaching assistant, Yoon Sung-A, as they collaborate to assist clients with various psychological issues.

Production

The series was directed by Sung Yong-Il with a screenplay written by Heo Ji-Young. The production held its first script reading on September 15, 2014, at the CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul. The show replaced the drama Reset in the OCN Sunday 23:00 time slot.
