Dean Fujioka Career and Filmography
Dean Fujioka, born Tatsuo Fujioka on August 19, 1980, in Fukushima, Japan, is a multi-faceted Japanese actor, model, and filmmaker who has built an international career spanning multiple countries across Asia. Standing 180 cm tall with blood type A, Fujioka moved to Seattle, Washington, for college before traveling extensively throughout the region. He eventually settled in Hong Kong, where he launched his professional career in modeling and acting.

Acting Career
Fujioka has appeared in numerous feature films and television drama series, taking on diverse character roles. Notably, he portrayed Roy Mustang in the live-action adaptations of the popular manga series Fullmetal Alchemist, including Fullmetal Alchemist (2017) and its two-part sequels Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Avenger Scar and Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Last Transmutation (both released in 2022). His extensive film credits also include Kids on the Slope (2018), The Man from the Sea (2018), Pure Japanese (2022), Last Mile (2024), and Ya Boy Kongming! The Movie (2025).
In television, Fujioka has maintained a prominent presence in Japanese dramas, starring in NHK's morning drama Asa ga Kita (2015–2016) as Saisuke Godai, Fuji TV's Sherlock: Untold Stories (2019) as Shishio Homare, and Pandora's Fruit: Kagaku Hanzai Sousa File (2022) as Yuichi Kohiruimaki, alongside appearances in subsequent projects such as The Honest Realtor 2 (2024) and Loved One (2026).
Directing and Production Work
In addition to performance roles, Fujioka has expanded his involvement in the entertainment industry behind the camera. He directed and appeared in the 2012 film I am Ichihashi - Journal of a Murderer and served as a producer for the 2022 feature film Pure Japanese.
