Connect (2022 South Korean Series)

Connect is a South Korean thriller series released in 2022. Directed by Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike, the series is based on the webcomic of the same name by Shin Dae-sung, which was serialized on Naver between 2019 and 2020. The series premiered on the streaming platform Disney+ on December 7, 2022, consisting of six episodes.

Plot

The story follows Ha Dong-soo, a man belonging to a new human species known as "Connect." These beings possess the ability to regenerate from almost any injury, effectively making them immortal. Dong-soo's life is upended when he is abducted by an organ trafficking syndicate. During the operation to harvest his organs, one of his eyes is removed.

Dong-soo discovers that his stolen eye has been transplanted into a serial killer named Oh Jin-seob. Because of the unique biological connection between the eye and its original owner, Dong-soo begins to experience visual hallucinations, seeing exactly what the killer sees. Driven by this connection, Dong-soo embarks on a pursuit to track down Jin-seob and prevent further murders.

Production
