Anna is a South Korean psychological thriller drama series that premiered on the streaming platform Coupang Play in 2022. The series, which consists of six episodes, explores themes of identity, ambition, and the consequences of deception.

Plot

The narrative centers on Lee Yu-Mi, portrayed by Bae Suzy, whose life is transformed by a single lie. This initial deception leads her to adopt a completely different identity, setting her on a path that intersects with various individuals, including her ambitious husband, Choi Ji-Hun, and her trusted friend, Han Ji-Won. The story also features Lee Hyun-Joo, a woman who lives a life of privilege without regard for others.

Production

The series is based on the novel Chinjeolhan Yibangin by Jung Han-A, which was published on October 13, 2017, by Munhakdongne. The production of the television adaptation was directed by Lee Joo-Young, who also contributed to the writing. Principal photography for the series commenced on October 15, 2021.
