Early Career and Retirement

As Riko Yoshida, she built an extensive list of child and teenage acting credits in various Japanese television dramas and films, including appearances in Mei's Butler (2009) and The Woman of Steel (2010). On April 1, 2016, she announced her retirement from the entertainment industry to focus on her studies. Exactly one year later, on April 1, 2017, she ended her retirement and resumed her acting career under the stage name Ai Yoshikawa.
