Ai Hashimoto (Japanese: 橋本愛) is a Japanese actress and model born on January 12, 1996, in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. Standing 1.65 meters tall with blood type O, she has built a substantial career in Japanese film and television since rising to prominence in the early 2010s.

Career and Filmography

Hashimoto made her early appearance in feature films with the acclaimed drama Confessions (2010), playing the student Mizuki Kitahara. She gained wider recognition in subsequent years, starring in projects such as The Kirishima Thing (2012) and Another (2012). In 2013, her performance earned her the Rookie of the Year award at the 36th Japan Academy Prize.

Her extensive film credits span numerous genres, ranging from horror and thriller works like Sadako 3D (2012) and Parasyte Part 1 & 2 (2014–2015) to character-driven dramas like Little Forest: Summer & Autumn and Winter & Spring (2014–2015).
