95 is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TV Tokyo from April 8 to June 10, 2024. The series is based on the 2015 novel of the same name written by Kazumasa Hayami. Directed by Hideo Jojo with a screenplay by Kohei Kiyasu, the drama consists of 10 episodes.

Plot

The story follows Akihisa Hiroshige, a man working for a karaoke company who finds his memories of his high school years resurfacing after an interview about the Japanese music industry. The narrative shifts back to 1995, a year marked by the Tokyo subway sarin attack. During this period, Akihisa was a high-achieving, well-mannered student whose life was profoundly altered by the societal instability and personal tragedies of that time. He is drawn into a group led by his classmate, Shotaro Suzuki, and begins spending time in Shibuya. When Shotaro is attacked, Akihisa embarks on a quest for retribution.
