9/10 So Soldier

9/10 So Soldier (Japanese: 9/10 ジュウブンノキュウ) is a Japanese film released on October 7, 2006. Directed by Masatoshi Tojo, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Yusei Naruse, the film explores themes of friendship and nostalgia.

Plot

The narrative centers on a group of nine friends who were teammates on a high school baseball team. Years after graduation, they reunite to open a time capsule they had buried together. During the reunion, they discover that the capsule requires ten keys rather than the nine they possess. This realization forces the group to confront the memory of a tenth friend from their high school days. The film follows the men as they reminisce about their shared past, balancing lighthearted conversation with more serious reflections on their lives and lost connections.
