42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards
The 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards took place on November 26, 2021, in Seoul, South Korea. Organized by the newspaper Sports Chosun, the ceremony recognized outstanding achievements in the South Korean film industry. The event was hosted by actors Kim Hye-Soo and Yoo Yeon-Seok.
Major Winners
The action-drama Escape from Mogadishu was the most awarded film of the evening, securing the prize for Best Film. Its director, Ryoo Seung-Wan, was awarded Best Director for his work on the project. The film also earned Heo Jun-Ho the award for Best Supporting Actor.
In the acting categories, Sul Kyung-Gu received the Best Actor award for his performance in The Book of Fish, while Moon So-Ri was named Best Actress for her role in Three Sisters. The film Three Sisters also saw Kim Sun-Young win for Best Supporting Actress.
