2020 SBS Drama Awards

The 2020 SBS Drama Awards was an annual awards ceremony held on December 31, 2020, in South Korea to recognize outstanding achievements in television dramas broadcast on the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) network throughout the year. The event was hosted by Shin Dong-yup and Kim Yoo-jung.

Major Awards

The Grand Prize (Daesang), the highest honor of the evening, was awarded to Namkoong Min for his performance in the sports drama Hot Stove League. Other notable winners included Lee Min-ho for Best Actor in a mini-series (fantasy/romance) for The King: Eternal Monarch and Park Eun-bin for Best Actress in a mini-series (fantasy/romance) for Do You Like Brahms?.

In the action mini-series categories, Ju Ji-hoon received the award for Best Actor for his role in Hyena, while Kim Seo-hyung was honored as Best Actress for her performance in Nobody Knows. The long and medium-length drama categories saw Uhm Ki-joon recognized as Best Actor for Penthouse, while the Best Actress award was shared by Kim So-yeon, Eugene, and Lee Ji-ah, all for their roles in Penthouse.

Excellent Acting Awards

The ceremony also presented Excellent Actor and Actress awards across various genres. Kim Min-jae and Kim Yoo-jung were recognized for their work in the fantasy/romance category, while Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung received awards for their performances in Dr. Romantic 2 within the action category. Bong Tae-gyu and Yoon Jong-hoon were both awarded for their roles in Penthouse in the long/medium-length drama category.
